Around 22.3 million people were living with either type 1 or type 2 diabetes last year
More and more Americans are suffering from diabetes these days. New figures out from the American Diabetes Association show around 22.3 million people were living with either type 1 or type 2 diabetes last year. Back in 2007 that number was just over 17 million. The cost associated with treating these cases is also on the rise, topping 245 billion dollars in 2012. That's up from 174 billion five years ago.
